THE CHALLENGE
To reimagine PEN’s visual identity, and upscale it by developing editorial, and digital content in order to raise more funding for building schools for the underprivileged.
THE OUTCOME
Progressive Education Network (PEN) is an NGO that is committed towards building schools and educating the underprivileged children in Pakistan. For the Editorial Design, I photographed children in their element within the school premises, and captured their candid expressions while studying, interacting and sharing smiles in the playground in order to create dynamic and impactful imagery. The layout features ‘Yellow Circle’ with bold typography in black. Circle is used as a symbolic design element inspired by sun, the source of light, depicting the promising future that PEN aims to achieve by educating the underpriviliged children. Bold typographical compositions with variations in circle overlap create a versatile and modern design language. Yellow color complements the cheerful imagery and the cause of promoting education amongst the underpriviliged children. Typography is set in Gotham font family.
